Shenandoah Jct./N&WRY

Shenandoah Junction

NS coal train 576 approaches the road crossing at Shenandoah Jct. During a snow storm another NS train heads north on the main as a dwarf signal protects the connection from the B&O.

Down the connecting track closer to the B&O/CSX, NS train 460 is doing some switching. In the 1990s, NS train 214 would drop its auto racks for CSX to pick up.

NS train northbound approaching the former "South End of Shenandoah Jct." also referred to as "Daniels" recently by NS. The right-of-way is being widened and grading is nearly complete to extend the passing siding at Shenandoah Jct. south to the Rt.9 bridge. (12-26-2013)
